Did you know that 79% of deaths in Ontario are a result of chronic and preventable disease? The healthcare sector plays an important role, and even minor policy changes have a significant impact. It’s important to understand and represent the potential outcomes of different policies.

We worked with SIG to create an interactive, data-driven model supporting policy decisions in Chronic Disease Management and Palliative Care for use in Social Innovation Labs. We highlighted both the current situation (i.e., the status quo), and potential alternatives from around the world.

Models like this one aren’t just about representing the data. They allow policy makers (and the public) to quickly visualize and evaluate the impact of different options. This approach to visualizing data forms a key part of the Social Innovation Labs Guide.
